I just saw your post and your followup this morning, and I just wanted to say thank you for posting that. During my very first experience I had that problems, and every now and then, even during a lucid dream, I will suddenly have my world go dark. That's a really good technique to know. For a while, I also just reminded myself to look at my hands when I wasn't sure it I was dreaming or lucid dreaming, then I see if I can lift off the ground. I've begun having lucid dreams again now, so now I want to concentrate on actually projecting. I've been reading that practicing with seeing part of your body while you're either meditating, or about to go to sleep is also a way of sending energy to your light body, so it will be charged, one you are ready to project, That really makes sense, because we do spend a lot of time as a baby learning how to use our physical body, so it makes sense that we will have to practice with our light body. I'm glad you're starting to have experiences. I agree with you, it is like a wonderful gift, learning to exit the body. I even tried lifting out of my body at the beach, actually, I wanted to levitate to see if I was dreaming or awake, sure enough, I couldn't levitate!
