Actually, I began researching into astral traveling, sometime in the 1980's, when I read Robert Monroe's trilogy on astral traveling. In the late 1980's I began gong to the Monroe Institute to really start learning how to do it. I went to five sessions, and I was very disappointed to not have any OBE's while at the Institute, but the very morning after returning home after the last visit to Monroe, I woke up early, and began having these vibrations all over my body, and thinking, oh boy, this is what they said could happen, I thought immediately about rolling out of my body, and boom, it felt like I just went through the bed, and hit the floor! I stood up, and was disappointed that everything was dark, so I said, Silly, why don't you open your eyes? So I did, and I found myself in a bedroom, but not in the one was I was sleeping in, but in one quite simple and uncluttered, just a bed, a chest, and a small table and chair. I heard someone calling me, and there was a man outside my window, who was telling me to hurry up, class was starting soon. I thought about going out through the wall, but then thought, the window would be easier, so I just kind of flew through the window. I had enough presence to think about looking at what I was wearing, actually, what you might imagine Alice in Wonderland might be wearing, but mine was a flowered dress, with a white apron, and slipper-like black shoes. Then I felt myself back in my body, but I was still vibrating so I rolled out again, and ended up in a spaceship, where I was working in a laboratory. I spent what seemed like a whole day in that ship, then returned to my body again, and tried rolling out twice more, and both times I went somewhere, but it was very foggy, and I could not remember much.
After that I began having lots of lucid dreams, but I seemed stuck in my own dream world, but I have three books with many strange dreams, in which I became lucid, but never remembered to try to direct myself to go somewhere, and the few times I did, it seemed like I couldn't get out of this world. I did a lot of flying, since I really like to fly, and that is how I test whether or not I am really dreaming. But I was frustrated because these dreams just happened, and I was never able to consciously direct having an OBE. But lucid dreaming is cool, anyway.
Later I joined a Golden Dawn Temple, since I was always interested in the occult, Hidden knowledge, not Satan worship, and with each initiation, I had more and more astral travels, lucid dreams, and visions. I advanced up the Tree of Knowledge to Netzach, then learned that my Temple had closed, and by that time I had gotten very ill with Fibromyalgia, spinal disease and almost daily migraines. I have just turned 70, and I am still seeking that illusive knowledge about my Higher Self, and I've learned that our planet is on the verge of ascending to a higher dimension, that's why it's so crazy, Folks, and I would love to make that ascension myself and help other people to do it, but I seemed so held down by my poor health. I am also totally bedridden, would love a healing so I could travel and do all these wonderful things I dreamed about doing in my old age. As for where to go in my astral journeys, yes, I want to meet with my Higher Self, my angelic helpers, go back to those learning temples I went to in my younger years, but this time bring back the memories on the Astral realm around our Earth, I wouldn't mind going to Sacred places, like Giza pyramids, Machu Pichu, and any ancient sites of knowledge. Sorry I took up so much space answering your questions, but now you have a good idea who I am.
