I would like to ask everyone here, weather you are currently leaving your body through astral projection, or simply curious to the phenomena, what is your favorite astral destination? Weather its a far away dream, or weather you have been there in the out of body state, where would you go and why? Im always excited to hear about other peoples out of body goals and what their destinations might be.

Ive been out of my body with the use of Ayahuasca and have travelled and visited some very gentle and loving spirits that help with healing and give knowledge. I would like to be able to do this without the use of Ayahuasca and explore more worlds containing more beings of light :)

I have been out a few times and seem to go with the flow. I dont really guide my experiences, but i always end up in a meaningful place where i can totally destress and come back to my body as a new person so to speak. This has only been a few times, but i remmber feeling completely regenerated and fresh each time. I dont want to say "born again" but it felt so pure and real each time that i began to wonder what was more real, being born into the out of body state, or being born into my body again. Does that make any sense? lol

I have been out of my body quite a few times and generally try to gain any kind of knowlege from astral beings. This takes me to different types of places usually, but I always try to remain calm. Some experiences are more relaxing than others. lol I guess I cant say i have a specefic destination, but I have a definate mission, and that is to obtain wisdom about myself and my existance. And I want to also thank everyone here for making such a great little private group here. Im liking the conversations. :)

    Hello Everyone,

When I lived in London (UK) I practiced with the companions from the IAC (International Academy of Consciousness)
and when speaking of location, my first idea (being a total novice) was the Tower of London.
They were very much surprised that I would want to go there, because in history this place is full of suffering, torture
    and more evil things.
So once they had explained to me that it is much better to chose a location of peace, I obviously changed my mind.

Right now it is a location in Tennessee, near Athens.

Hi Richard, Im curious whats there for you if you dont mind my asking. For real time locations I usually make it out to northern arizona where I did most of my growing up. In fact, this is my default hang out place when out of body if I dont feel like doing too much spiritual work.

    Hi Joe,

I guess your question refers to my primary OOB location in Tennessee and the reason is that the philosophical organization
I am a member of, called the Emin Way ( http://www.emin.com/ ), has a facility there, called 'The Homestead' and since it is a very clean place,
electrically speaking. I decided for now to try to go there.

Thats a fantastic reason indeed. Well chosen. You can always do a focused mental transference to the site as well without leaving your body. With practice, these mental projections become highly accurate and visually focused as well. Its a pleasure speaking here with you brother. How is life in general?

    Greetings Everyone,

Actually, I began researching into astral traveling, sometime in the 1980's, when I read Robert Monroe's trilogy on astral traveling. In the late 1980's I began gong to the Monroe Institute to really start learning how to do it. I went to five sessions, and I was very disappointed to not have any OBE's while at the Institute, but the very morning after returning home after the last visit to Monroe, I woke up early, and began having these vibrations all over my body, and thinking, oh boy, this is what they said could happen, I thought immediately about rolling out of my body, and boom, it felt like I just went through the bed, and hit the floor! I stood up, and was disappointed that everything was dark, so I said, Silly, why don't you open your eyes? So I did, and I found myself in a bedroom, but not in the one was I was sleeping in, but in one quite simple and uncluttered, just a bed, a chest, and a small table and chair. I heard someone calling me, and there was a man outside my window, who was telling me to hurry up, class was starting soon. I thought about going out through the wall, but then thought, the window would be easier, so I just kind of flew through the window. I had enough presence to think about looking at what I was wearing, actually, what you might imagine Alice in Wonderland might be wearing, but mine was a flowered dress, with a white apron, and slipper-like black shoes. Then I felt myself back in my body, but I was still vibrating so I rolled out again, and ended up in a spaceship, where I was working in a laboratory. I spent what seemed like a whole day in that ship, then returned to my body again, and tried rolling out twice more, and both times I went somewhere, but it was very foggy, and I could not remember much.

After that I began having lots of lucid dreams, but I seemed stuck in my own dream world, but I have three books with many strange dreams, in which I became lucid, but never remembered to try to direct myself to go somewhere, and the few times I did, it seemed like I couldn't get out of this world. I did a lot of flying, since I really like to fly, and that is how I test whether or not I am really dreaming. But I was frustrated because these dreams just happened, and I was never able to consciously direct having an OBE. But lucid dreaming is cool, anyway.

Later I joined a Golden Dawn Temple, since I was always interested in the occult, Hidden knowledge, not Satan worship, and with each initiation, I had more and more astral travels, lucid dreams, and visions. I advanced up the Tree of Knowledge to Netzach, then learned that my Temple had closed, and by that time I had gotten very ill with Fibromyalgia, spinal disease and almost daily migraines. I have just turned 70, and I am still seeking that illusive knowledge about my Higher Self, and I've learned that our planet is on the verge of ascending to a higher dimension, that's why it's so crazy, Folks, and I would love to make that ascension myself and help other people to do it, but I seemed so held down by my poor health. I am also totally bedridden, would love a healing so I could travel and do all these wonderful things I dreamed about doing in my old age. As for where to go in my astral journeys, yes, I want to meet with my Higher Self, my angelic helpers, go back to those learning temples I went to in my younger years, but this time bring back the memories on the Astral realm around our Earth, I wouldn't mind going to Sacred places, like Giza pyramids, Machu Pichu, and any ancient sites of knowledge. Sorry I took up so much space answering your questions, but now you have a good idea who I am.

Hi everyone! I'm brand new to this site and very excited to have found you.

I have been a seeker my entire life and had a couple spontaneous OBE's with very little "travel". The first time I went out of body I was meditating and felt the energy rising up my body and as the electrical current rose up my feet, I felt myself also moving out of my crown chakra. I had total dual awareness. As I was sliding up the headboard of my bed I became afraid and was instantly back in my body.

The other OBE happened in the middle of the night. I awoke to screaming loud noise in my head and than a loud pop and I was racing upward through the clouds, then the cosmos, then into the galaxy. As soon as I thought "Wow, is this an OBE", I also at that time thought "Well, if it is and I think about my pinky" and then I was back in my body. I am looking to be able to astral project at will. I have twice gotten the vibrations to fill my body but cannot get past that point.

Look forward to learning more and meeting some amazing people here!

Wow, Roxanne, to do that the first time you were meditating is amazing, and then to have a spontaneous journey through the Galaxy, is even more amazing. You have obviously done this is a previous incarnation, and the fact that you are a Seeker is a verification of that. Once you settle down and realize you are perfectly safe, I am sure you will have some amazing journeys. Welcome to the Site from a fellow traveler.Doramage

Thanks Dorothy for your response. It wasn't on my first try meditating...I had meditated for a long time...I have tried to edit the post, maybe I'll delete it entirely and re-write it. I meant it to say " the first time I went out of body I was meditating and ..." but was excited about being on this site and typed wrong 000ps!!!

I have always thought going to the Akashic records or to my Higher Self/Source would be my main destination but honestly I still get so freaked out that just getting to the hallway or the back yard would be a good start :)

That's still pretty amazing for it to happen while you're meditating, but of course, we are all looking for it to happen when we want it to happen. I never got over being excited when it happened to me, but you just have to give yourself a suggestion before you leave, that you want to be calm. Think about where you want to go before you take off too. I found that sometimes I wasn't sure I was astral traveling or lucid dreaming, so I had to give myself a test by doing something I couldn't ordinarily do, like flying. But then that got me excited, and all I did was fly around, I'm here to learn more control.

If you want to edit your post, you can do that by looking all the way to the right of the date at the top of your response, and you will see the EDIT Key. Happy Astral Traveling! :D

Good morning gang, I haven't been on in a few days, but was happy to see some awesome discussions here today. I think that your destination to the Akashic records is a good one. Its like the y say a lot here in the L*B*T that astral travel for inner wisdom and spiritual growth is really the point to all of it. It took mw a long time to get over the "entertaining " part of being out of my body. Ioo now strive to plan out my destination before i meditate like Dorothy says here. Its a big help, and I find that i usually end up in a better place than if I do not plan first. Control is still the hard [art, because sometimes flight goes way too fast and Im "lost"for lack of a better term.
Anyway, have a great day where you are ladies.

    Hello Everyone,

I am still new to this subject trying/struggling to follow the techniques from some of the books but no success, yesterday I came to know about this site and joined it.

My astral destination is to meet some of the high lighted masters.

    Thanks

Hi there, nice to see you here on every level. Just curious, do you have a regular meditation practice? I have found that regularity and repetition, as with most skills, is the key to success. I would love to hear more about your practice.
      Have a great day there,

My astral destination is also my childhood home. Its always a soothing pleasure to return and fly through the rooms and feel at peace. This was a wonderful time in my life, and it always inspires me for days after I see it again in astral form. Great post Joseph:(
