Religion, Why? The Universal Truth

One must approach the conversation about Religion carefully. The concepts of God, faith, belief, dogma, spirituality, mythology, spiritual psychology, xenophobia, revelation, psychosis, and mind control, spirit possession, channeling, occultism, somehow all seem to fit somewhere in the conversation. And all of this seems to pollute something so simple as our fundamental, spiritual and emotional connection to the mystery of life and the mystery of death, and our innate and intimate connection to Nature.

As long as we are fixated upon a view of the world where everything is outside of us, and we are just another object in the universe, we will remain an object that is at the mercy of a multitude of unseen forces. Because of our natural insecurity concerning the ‘unknown’, we are prone to setting up a system of hierarchies and superstitions to help us placate ‘the gods’ and win their favor so that we will have a better chance at survival, and ultimately at thriving.

I am not particularly interested in discussing the pros and cons of religion, and the control that religion has had over mankind for eons, as well as the havoc that it has wrought upon humankind forever in the name of God and religion. First, we need to have a conversation about consciousness, and about how we deal with our intellectual inability to penetrate the mystery. For eons, human beings have attempted to penetrate the unknown, "the great mystery", Nature, first with the occult and superstition, and then with science.

James spiritual 1            Occultists want you to believe that Magick is a true science, and Science wants you to believe that there is no ‘mystery’ other than that which has not yet been solved by science. We can see the devastation that occultism practiced at the state level produces, everything from human sacrifice as evidenced throughout human history, to the Nazi regime of Hitler's Germany, founded on occult principles starting with the swastika itself.

As far as Science is concerned, applied science, which is technology, is completely out of control. Any intelligent human being that is spiritually connected to their relationship with Nature, would never think of desecrating nature by polluting it with waste, plastic, toxic chemicals, and radioactivity.

And what of spirituality, isn't that what religion is supposed to be all about anyhow? The idea or concept of religion at its highest and brightest ideal should be to serve as a vehicle to connect human beings to their natural spiritual relationship to divinity and to that great mystery that can never be solved, the unknown and ultimately ‘our death’.

Yet, before there was religion of any kind, there was the shaman.  Shamanism is the technology of the sacred. On a personal and transcendental level, the shaman constructs his or her own religion. This relationship is generally personal, emotional, evocative and innovative, and is an art form unto itself. Long before there were societies, tribes, villages, city- states, nation-states and world religions, human beings survived through instinct and what information could be passed on through language and mimicry from one person to the next.

The forces of nature have always presented humankind with a dilemma that as of yet has never really been solved, neither by religion nor by science. So much of religion, whether it is personal or state organized, pertains to superstition; myths, and stories handed down over generations. It's fun! It feels good. We all love Christmas, Easter, Hanukkah, and Ramadan. These archetypes, these super myths help us to feel connected to our ancestral energy no matter how indistinct that may be.

In our own personal life we are constantly, cautiously, and unconsciously attempting to placate the forces of nature to win good fortune, good health, and a good life overall. Being human, we carry our shadow self generally buried deep within the unconscious-subconscious interface. When things go wrong in our life, when something happens and we feel guilty or sad or fearful, that part of us that does not know for sure, troubles like a child. We may pray, do affirmations, meditate, but something will be done spiritually by us to feel connected enough to ask for assistance.

And how big of a roll do the emotions play within this human drama, individually in our personal life, and collectively as ‘the world’? Religion, like the belief or the non-belief in God, is a personal matter. When we talk about belief, we must recognize that it is exactly what it says it is, ‘a belief’. It is an assumption based upon inferences and subtle nuances of awareness that generally have to do with consciousness being aware of itself as existence in the physical form.

For a belief to become a conviction, one must develop a strong emotional relationship to the idea itself. We want to believe so much that our belief is reality, that our mind makes it so. And the more people that we can convert to "our religion", the more solid the belief system becomes a collectively agreed-upon reality. We then gain confidence that there is some power or system of powers that we can bargain with in order to receive special favor here on earth, as well as the imagined ‘afterlife’, whether it be a belief in a heaven or a hell, or a belief in reincarnation.

Organized religion, state-sponsored religions, and the great world religions throughout history, are by far the most powerful and most effective mind control systems in this world throughout time. The great religions supersede nation-states, have survived millennium of wars, even shifting civilizations and empires, and yet these massive systems of belief and superstition have ruled the world for as long as our history can remember. Some of the most devastating and destructive wars in history were religious wars. And we are living at the precipice of a world conflagration that will pale all wars that have become before, and it is a religious war as well as a geopolitical war about resources.

James spiritual 2 copy            It is obvious how powerful of a role religion plays in the human drama throughout all of time. Religion has always played a major role in guiding human spiritual destiny, whether for good or for evil. Some outside force did not create religion, mankind created religion, as well as it's belief in God. Each particular belief system or religion developed a sophisticated hierarchy of spirits, entities, patriarchs and matriarchs, saints, demons, and devils, anything to explain away the night!

Even metaphysics poses itself as a science based upon a hierarchy of symbols and metaphors in order to explain the nature of Nature, i.e. the Great Mystery. But whatever your flavor of religion or spirituality is, even agnosticism or atheism, the great mystery remains the great mystery, forever, and forever, and forever, so be it!

Mankind created God and Religion. These are devices used by the mind in an attempt to understand, that which cannot be understood by the mind, by science, by philosophy, by the intellect, or by religious dogma and empty ritual.

Only through direct experience via revelation, direct transmission or enlightenment, can a human being really know the Truth. In fact, it seems as if most religions form themselves around a particular individual who had had profound mystical experiences and direct revelation with the Godhead. In a sense, religion is a spectator sport.

For the most part, life is an endeavor full of ups and downs with an immense array of the experiences, some delightful and enlightening, and others painful and laden with suffering. I believe that it is religion and spirituality that provide humankind with enough healing balm that allows us to get to the other side of life and be somewhat okay about it. Even if we are practicing within the boundaries of an organized religion, it is our own personal spiritual connection to something else that seems to be bigger than us, and hopefully understands more than we do, that sustains us through the hard times. Euphemistically we can refer to it as the Infinite Universal Consciousness, Spirit, the All That Is, etc., however we're talking about God. God is God. Beyond religion, beyond Theosophy, beyond dogma, beyond ritual, beyond belief and beyond superstition, Nature is the foundation that supports all Life and God created Nature. It is what it is.

The great world religions are nothing more than extremely sophisticated implant systems provided by our extraterrestrial brotherhood to keep humankind enslaved at its worst, and entrained into a one mind belief system at its best. This helps organize all the things in reality that make no sense to the physical senses, i.e. spontaneous healing, miracles, and the unseen world that we had no knowledge of.

This has been going on for eons. And just maybe it's possible they are waiting their return with a ‘one world religion’ under a “new world order”. If this were so, it could not be changed, avoided, or averted in any capacity.  This is a possible destiny of humankind.

Historically however, from the standpoint of how a society or civilization manages the cultural events of life, organized religion has played an infinitely important role. In the management of the processes of social life such as childbirth, stages of development through youth such as puberty and the rights of passage, marriage, and death, religion has been a necessary organizing institution indispensable to the needs of people within a social framework, whether it be the ancient world or the modern world.

James spiritual 3 copy           Unfortunately however, religion has all too often played a dominating role in controlling human behavior, especially concerning women, sex, and morality. Usually, there is little leeway in how a person can practice spiritually, because too much is dominated by the dogma of religion.

Our view of the world, the ‘modern world’, is a global implant system. Media, news, entertainment, sports, politics, and the educational system, predicate so much of how we see the world. Part of this worldview is that this is the time of great awakening, and there is nothing that you can do to accelerate it, slow it down, enhance it, change it, or diminish it.

As one becomes truly present and witnesses the magnificence of that which is appearing as the world, and as the present moment, our innate spirituality, which is intimate and emotional, will percolate to the surface of awareness. As we open to the breath and come into conscious awareness, our true spiritual nature as a human being, our knowing the divine directly, will blossom like a flower in springtime.

We then grow spiritually, and we are able to make real contact with the present moment.  With every breath, every awareness, every emotion, every thought, every perception, and every heartbeat, devotion to life and to life's process will grow daily. As one comes to know the same spiritual realities from a personal experience as those experienced by the mystics, shamans, priests, oracles, and spiritual visionaries, one will come to understand from to personal experience that which religion is attempting to provide humanity, but as a spectator sport.

At their worst, all the great religions are totally corrupt, profane, and brutally repressive. So what! The world is corrupt. The matrix is contaminated with hatred, war, slavery, fear, genocide, starvation, and disease.

Yet, all the great wealth and all of the resources of all the nations of the world, all the knowledge, all the science, all the wisdom, in a deeply perverted way is being directed towards maintaining a world that is crumbling into a global dark ages, enslaved by a few who are in control of most of its resources. At this level, the cabal between religion, industry, military, judiciary, educational, and health related entities, is a sinister and evil view of the New World Order. And it is being thrust upon us against our will, and sometimes beyond our conscious awareness.

It helps to remember that you are just passing through!  Maybe the angels or the extraterrestrials will save us. Maybe Jesus Christ, or the Buddha, or Mohammed, or the Messiah will all show up at the same time, and tell us what to do, and lead us to paradise. But surely not by our world leaders or our religious leaders. Everybody's on the take.

Finally, there is no religion greater than the profound experiential excellence of the rapture of the present moment of God, which one experiences during exalted moments of spiritual awakening and spiritual enlightenment! That would be your own personal experience of the Rapture. The religion of One!

This is how religions grow and sometimes reach a fanatical state. but is is the nature of anything that grows i guess.
