MONEY, the Editors Column

This April at Spiritualists International Magazine, we are happy to be presenting our Money issue. You may ask, why “Money” in a spirituality based publication?  This is certainly a valid question , and, to be honest, when we began discussing this topic, there was initial a bit of resistance.  After all, money seems to be at the root of materialism, and we are often taught that money is the exact opposite of spirituality.  Compare a monk who has taken a vow of poverty to the multibillionaire who is adamant that the minimum wage should not be raised.  But, in looking at the issues that surround money, it became apparent that the very reasons for our hesitation in covering this topic were actually the reasons that make it so important, especially within this context.

This month, we invite you to join us as we take a deeper look at just exactly how and why planetary currencies affect societies, humanity, and ultimately, our collective spiritual existence. There is a far deeper significance to the energies that surround money than you might even imagine, and this is where Spiritualists International Magazine will take you this month.   Our authors have worked passionately to deliver insights that can only derive from an advanced perspective,  in order to bring our community life changing information that may forever alter the way you understand the money you spend each day.

To kick off the monthly discussions right here, we ask you the following:

1. Does your financial security direct your state of mind and mood?

2. Why do you feel extreme amounts of money change the average person?

3. Can a person be both wealthy and spiritual?

Great topic here. I must admit that financial security does play a part in my over all mood, although I try to not let it effct me drastically. I try to remain aware of how money, and how much i have is effecting me at most times.
Secondly, i think that large amounts of money do change people, not always for the worse, although statastically they say most winners of a Lotto are back at the same place within two years, only with some depression due to having lost the wealth. Having the ability to but material things that they coludent before is of course a big psychological change.
And finally, Yes i do believe someone can be rich and spiritual, In fact I know a few people like this who constantly share their weath responsible to do their part in making the world a better place, They understand money as a tool, and know how to use it to fix things. There are people on the opposite end of the spectrum who use their wealth to destroy and hurt others, but in answer to the last question, it can be a good thing to be rich and be spiritual because this can help those who need a bit of assistance in life. Looking forward to the articles guys! Thanks
